It’s safe to say April was one of the most exciting months for Auctionity, as we’ve seen milestones and announcements lining up on a weekly basis. Missed them in our social media updates? Here are this month’s highlights
At Auctionity, we’ve always believed smart contracts will become an integral part of the future of transactional applications. For this future to happen, we need to remain focused on building core technology that allows Blockchain to scale and become vastly more accessible. This has been part of our vision from the very start, and remains a key part of every decision about the work we do each day.
Our focus for April was mainly on events and to get Auctionity out there. Our objective is to develop new partnerships within the community and to create new opportunities for Auctionity to shine even brighter. Little by little we are making progress towards our goal to make decentralized auctions a standard for live auctions all around the world. Here’s a summary of the events we’ve been attending this month.
Auctionity was at the Crypto Games Conference in Minsk on April 25–26. It was a great opportunity to showcase the platform during a live auction in support of the TeenGuru project. The sale was for a unique Blockchain Cutie named Darta-Nyan and served as yet another successful demonstration of auctions animated by live auctioneer on the platform. The auction was broadcasted live at the event in Minsk. The final sale price for the Cutie was 8.1 ETH which is, to this day, the biggest ever sale processed on Auctionity and a good demonstration of our platform.

Svetlana and Romain were present at the event to talk about the platform. Romain also gave a presentation on ‘How to scale the Ethereum Blockchain’.

Members of the Auctionity team and our CEO were present at the Paris Blockchain Week, one of the biggest international events dedicated to blockchain technology. Several French officials took part in the event and the French minister of Economy and Finance, Bruno Lemaire, gave a very positive speech to reiterate the government’s will to establish France as the European leader in blockchain technology.

The team got to meet many of players from the blockchain sector and the reception was quite enthusiastic. It allowed us to discuss future projects and possible new applications of decentralized auctions in various sectors. All in all we came back with loads of new opportunities and yet another confirmation that blockchain auctions really are a relevant application of blockchain technology.
Consensus is the must-attend blockchain event powered by Coindesk. This annual gathering of the cryptocurrency and blockchain worlds brings together the leading visionaries, developers, executives, investors, educators and more to lead the charge to determine the future of blockchain and digital assets. Auctionity is proud to participate in this event on May 13–15.
All eyes are on Malta when you talk about blockchain. The Malta AI & Blockchain Summit, spring edition, will be held on 23–24 May. Auctionity will be there and exhibit like 300 other sponsors and exhibitors to meet over 8,500 attendees, including the father of blockchain, Scott Stornetta, but also Sophia, the world’s first robot citizen, the Winklevoss twins, Malta’s Prime Minister the Hon. Joseph Muscat, Abu Dhabi’s Royal Highness, and the legendary John McAfee!
We’re thrilled to announce that Auctionity will be a sponsor and will take part in the International Digital Art Festival event. This IDAF will be held on June 26–27 at the Federation House in Manchester. It is no news that Auctionity strongly believes in the synergy between blockchain and art so it seemed only fitting that we participated in such an event. As you can read on the official IDAF website:
This immersive event will showcase the very best in VR, AR, rare digital art, NFTs & blockchain technology from the worlds most respected artists, platforms & innovators.
Begoña and Kevin will attend the event so do come say hi if you get a chance. The festival will be a great opportunity to discuss the relationship and future development of blockchain auctions in art. There is still time to get your early bird tickets.
As you can see these last and coming weeks are very focused on conferences and summits across the world. Rest assured that behind the scenes, we are still working hard on developping the Auctionity solution.
This month will be really exciting for Auctionity so be sure to follow us on social media as we will communicate significant progress and important informations in May.
