Once again, the month has flown by! When looking back over our shoulder, it’s amazing to see what we have managed to achieve in a year. From the development of the platform to business and marketing partnerships, we reached some key milestones across various areas for Auctionity. We would like to share our progress with you in terms of project development, including product, marketing and community achievements. None of these could have been done without the great support and contribution from our beloved community (and also hundreds hours of works from our team!).
Just a quick recap to highlight some of our best victories from the last eight months:
- We refined our commercial and brand strategy. Auctionity is the name of decentralized, real-time, blockchain auctions, dedicated to Non-Fungible Tokens. Not just for CryptoKitties but for a whole ensemble of assets, that can be digital or tokenized.
- We recruited 13 new team members since January 2018.
- We released our Auctionity MVP testnet v1.0 in January.
- We developed a block explorer, open-API, focused on technical solutions.
- We launched the Auctionity Club to pamper our community and make it grow.
- We provided a full protocol documentation (Yellow Paper).
- We completed the technical aspects of the project and are now turning our attention towards our business goals.
Our primary goal continues to launch the Auctionity blockchain platform, making the project real, and providing value to the DRT.
Giving DRT its value back
One of our primary goals is to continue to drive more volume and traction for the DRT. Indeed, our token is about to benefit from some important momentum thanks to its integration into Auctionity’s incentive marketing actions. We are still focusing our efforts towards this objective and we will continue to induce more trading with the upcoming release of the Auctioneer program to fulfill our contributors’ wishes!
Auctionity full release in September
BUIDL. Jeremy Epstein writes in an article “Keeping perspective on the evolution of crypto“ that short-term volatility should be ignored in crypto.
Focus on the long-term trends and evidence. We’re in the “Buidl” phase of this whole thing.
Auctionity has entered the BUIDL phase some months ago.
These past months we felt a huge amount of pressure to launch as soon as possible, to have something concrete and tangible. We did also look forward to that. But we also believe in doing things right on the first try. All of us at Auctionity are working around the clock to ensure that our main-net launch goes as smoothly as possible. With a huge focus on stability and security of the network, we aim to ensure all participants Auctionity is kept safely and securely so that our network suffers no major hurdles in future. Moreover, we have been working a long time to conceive the incentive part of Auctionity (what we call Community Rewards). And now, Auctionity’s launch is on the horizon! We are working on the finishing touches. Our team is carrying out some final tests to make sure that everything will be working smoothly.
That was for the technical part. From a market and business point of view, we have also made some important progress. We have secured new partnerships with some of the best innovative blockchain projects in the Non-Fungible Tokens space today. We would like to tell you more and reveal the names but we prefer to announce our next partnerships when they are fully finalized rather than announce it too soon. We are still polishing up some details and we will let you know asap.
This month, we published an introduction video to give you a small glimpse of the Auctionity Saleroom and Community Rewards, which are the two cornerstones of Auctionity. We will continue to explain it with more details further along the way.
We know that you have been waiting patiently for the final and public release of Auctionity, and we are very thankful to be supported by such a great community. We can’t wait for you to discover and use Auctionity very soon!
Marketing
The marketing team is putting every effort into upcoming communications and marketing actions in order to offer a royal launch to Auctionity. PR and media sollicitations will be set in motion a couple of weeks before the launch.
We keep reminding the public of how the Auctionity blockchain can disrupt the traditionally opaque auction system. And, in case you missed our last article introducing the Auctionity SaleRoom and Auctioneer Program, make sure to go have a look at it (including a short video). We will also write a series of exciting editorials and stories, publish manifold videos and tutorials to discover how you can use Auctionity.
Social media, newsletters, events, new website, partnerships, there is a lot going for Auctionity.
Our communication is in big part english but as our teams include Russian, Spanish, Italian, French and Portuguese-speaking people, we are able to communicate you in many languages.
Content & Editorials
In August, our team members launched a series of weekly Press Reviews (#1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6) on this Medium, reviewing and gathering the best articles articles about NFT and ERC-721 to keep the community up to date. The applications of blockchain in the field of Non-Fungible Tokens still needs to be popularized to gain more traction. This is why we try to evangelize and educate the public with Crypto-Collectibles and their applications. Non-fungible tokens continue to see growing adoption as their benefits are showcased in the marketplace. With NFTs we are witnessing the early stages of an exciting phenomenon. We do believe that the future will hold great things as it will bring even more news applications that have yet to be imagined.
We also keep up our efforts and keep writing articles as we want our community and new members to be able to follow the project and know every detail of what Auctionity is and how it works.

We have been heads-down these past months designing, building and fixing things to give Auctionity a proper launch. Meanwhile, we’ve reached out to the Blockchain and Crypto-Collectibles community, to set up partnerships and also get their feedback on what will be possible with Auctionity. Their responses were incredibly encouraging.
