It’s been a busy month for the team, packed with business development, marketing and product activities. Let’s read our latest community update for a run down on recent Auctionity news
November flew by, and we are back with another update as we have accomplished a ton of work over the past month. We have got some exciting announcements, so here’s a roundup of what’s been happening. Read on to learn what Auctionity has in store!
Dev Update
Our dev team has completely updated the API documentation for the Auctionity Saleroom. It allows anyone with knowledge of code to use our blockchain without going through the saleroom. You can access the complete documentation here if you wish: https://docs.auctionity.com.
Auctionity is now part of the Non-Fungible Alliance
The Non-Fungible Alliance was created by 0xcert, the company behind the 0xcert protocol. They are a group of dedicated people working in the area of non-fungibility and certification. They created the Non-Fungible Alliance in order to officially gather all the people involved in the community around NFTs. They explain their objectives as follows on their official website:
As diverse and unique as the non-fungible space is, so are the visions, potentials, and opinions about it. Our goal is to provide a common platform for all non-fungible thinkers, enthusiasts, and creators — non-fungible alliance website
We are very excited to have Auctionity be part of this Alliance, as this incentive is really a push in the right direction, allowing the NFT community to unite around a common area of work. This will also give greater exposure to the Auctionity platform and take us towards wider adoption while also tapping in the knowledge of the NFT community.

Auctionity will be a Silver Sponsor at the BLOČK 2018 conference held on December 14–15 in Čakovec, Croatia. This is the second edition of the event which was reconducted after the great success of the 2017 session. This year, the central theme will be non-fungible tokens in an effort to educate people about what they are and why you should pay attention to them. Auctionity is an advocate for any incentive involving the democratization of non-fungible tokens and this event is a perfect example.

In this endeavor to make non-fungible tokens more widely known to the public, we also curate a series of articles about the latest NFT news on the web. This curation shows that NFTs are getting traction and that big name companies are slowly giving them more and more attention, especially in the field of gaming and art. As we explained in the previous October Monthly News, one of the greatest challenge that blockchain technology is facing to achieve mass adoption is user experience. Indeed, as blockchain technology works today, there remains too many pains for users who can perceive the technology as burdensome. Auctionity is well-aware of this pain for the user, and the whole team is working towards making the saleroom and the Auctionity experience as user-friendly and convenient as possible. That is why one of the major evolution of the Auctionity Saleroom will be to make it mobile, available at the tips of your fingers, on your smartphone.
These past few days, our dev team has been working on adapting the Auctionity Saleroom for the mobile platform. This goes beyond the simple fact of making the interface responsive, that is almost a given. An important issue was with the compatibility of wallets on mobile devices. As a matter of fact, one of the most popular wallets for desktop, Metamask, is not yet available for mobile (though they announced a future evolution in that direction for 2019 at the DevCon4). We however found a mobile solution with portis. Portis is a browser-based application, which means that you won’t have to install anything on your phone. Portis creates a frictionless user experience which goes in the direction of reducing user pains, and that’s exactly what we want for Auctionity.
It’s safe to say April was one of the most exciting months for Auctionity, as we’ve seen milestones and announcements lining up on a weekly basis. Missed them in our social media updates? Here are this month’s highlights
